Community Grants
The Foundation will consider grants at any time during the club fiscal year. In order to be considered, a grant request must specifically and directly benefit the Central Ohio community served by the Whitehall/Bexley Rotary Club. That geographic area is bounded by I-270 on the east (from US 33 to the I-670 interchange), I-670 on the north (to I-71), I-71 on the west (to the I-70 interchange), and I-70 on the south (to US 33), then following US 33 back to I-270.
All required information must be provided. Incomplete applications will not be acted upon. If the applicant is not a government entity, the application must be accompanied by a letter of authorization and documentation of current tax exempt status (IRS Letter & 990). No Rotary club member, their family members, or a Rotary club itself can be a recipient.
1. The Board of Directors will review all grant requests to ensure they fulfill goals of the club and guidelines of Rotary International.
2. The Club Board will forward approved requests to the Foundation Board. Requests not approved will not be forwarded.
3. The Foundation Board will determine if requests support goals and standards. Applications relating to literacy, hunger, environment, and disability may be given precedence.
4. Applicants must be an official public government body or a not-for-profit organization with tax exempt status from the IRS.
5. The Foundation is not obligated to approve any application. There is no minimum or maximum number of grants issued.
1. Priority given to applications meeting unmet needs, targeting underserved populations. Must contain an item breakdown of costs and how the grant contributes. Price quotes must be provided on vendor stationery.
2. The applicant must provide public recognition of the Whitehall-Bexley Rotary Club. A description of all publicity must be included with the application.
3. Grantees must submit a follow-up report within 30 days of project completion with activities, participants, dates, evaluation, and receipts.
