November 4 Rotary Meeting: Iddrisu Seidu of Makerspace Central
Join the Whitehall-Bexley Rotary Club on Wednesday, November 4, as we welcome Iddrisu Seidu, founder and board president of Makerspace Central, for our first regular club meeting at our new home in the Whitehall Library.
Makerspace Central is a Columbus-based nonprofit dedicated to inspiring creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning among K-12 students throughout Central Ohio. Through engaging STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) workshops, Makerspace Central helps young people explore emerging technologies, develop practical skills, and discover new possibilities for their futures.
His presentation will introduce members and guests to the mission and activities of Makerspace Central, highlighting the importance of creativity, education, and community partnerships in preparing young people for an increasingly technology-driven world.
This promises to be an excellent opportunity to learn about an innovative local nonprofit whose focus on youth development and education aligns closely with Rotary's commitment to strengthening our communities.
Rotarians, prospective members, and community guests are welcome to attend.
Iddrisu Seidu brings a decade of experience working in aerospace engineering research and development, along with a passion for making technical education more accessible and engaging for the next generation. He is the founder and board president of Makerspace Central.
We meet the first and second wednesdays of every month at 5:30 PM. Guests are always welcome!
